Reduce Brush Wear and Machine Damage with KM Control

The KM Control feature can be fitted to our largest brushes to protect your investment from damage and give a better finish.

A common problem when fitting a sweeper to large heavy machinery, such as an agricultural Tractor, Loader or Telehandler; is damage from excess pressure on the brush. This can result in faster than expected brush wear, damage to the collector box and even broken weldments or snapped bolts.

KM Contol is the ideal solution to this problem.

KM Control

The KM Control system consists of a set of sensors linked to a motorised brush height adjuster.

When connected, the KM Control allows the operator to set a specified brush pressure. The KM Control will then maintain this pressure by making automatic adjustments to the brush height. This ensures that as the brush navigates undulations in the surface, the optimum pressure is always applied to the brush in order to prevent excess brush wear or damage to other parts of the sweeper.

The operator may vary the parameters of the system from the cab mounted panel whilst sweeping if required.

KM Control

The KM Control is further aided by our floating linkages and floating collector boxes on the FKM 60 and KM 70 sweeper ranges.

All these features give added protection for the brush, but they also give the benefit of a better, more consistently clean finish on the swept surface. This is because the brush and collector are always able to follow the contours independently, providing more reliable contact with the surface.
